Over the next several years, Montana will see an increase of 7,000 jobs per year, most of them highly skilled. We want Montanans to fill those jobs, and we want them to have the training and education to fill them with the highest qualifications.

River Campus Facility

After Missoula College outgrew its facility on South Avenue, the Montana State Legislature authorized funding for a new, state-of-the-art building along the Clark Fork River. This beautiful facility, opened in 2017, is home to some of the college’s keystone programs, including health professions, applied computing and culinary arts. Donors, through a $3 million match requirement, were integral to the facility’s construction and will continue to be vital. Your support will help equip our learning spaces with high-quality furnishings, technology and other learning tools, and also ensures a base of operating support for the future.

Faculty and Staff

Private support propels our most meaningful asset: our people. During Campaign Montana, we aim to support their work serving our students at the highest level. Donors can support professional development activities or help fund several key positions, including a director for the Industrial Technology program.

Academic Programs

Montana has a workforce gap on the horizon. Economists predict the state will see an increase in 7,000 jobs per year over the next several years. Missoula College wants to be the place where Montanans can get the training they need to fill these jobs. Donors can make an investment in Montana by supporting our academic program development. We work with local industry to nimbly respond to workforce needs. With private support over the next two years, we specifically aim to grow nursing, culinary arts, and the Applied Computing and Engineering Technology program.

Scholarships and fellowships help students reduce their debt load and focus on their studies. We aim to increase the number of scholarships available in every major.

Impact Funds across campus helps ensure UM’s excellence by providing unrestricted support where and when it is needed most. With your gift, we can provide essential opportunities and resources students and faculty need to thrive.
